Norwegian Course for Entrepreneurs – language and entrepreneurship

Kurskollektivet collaborates with business advisor Evgenia Marvold to integrate entrepreneurship and knowledge about Norwegian business and working life into Norwegian language lessons! This course is tailored for those of you who are in the start-up phase or planning to start your own business, and who at the same time need to improve your Norwegian skills. We offer classes at several levels (B1-B2), and these courses are funded by IMDi so they are free for participants. We will use authentic texts related to topics within entrepreneurship and business development, and you work on your own business plan throughout the course in parallel with other tasks.

Learning Objectives
The participant will be able to:
→ Develop realistic language learning plans, reflect on their own learning process, and use various strategies to further improve their language skills.
→ Develop a business plan and present it both in writing and orally in various formats.
→ Become familiar with the language used in public administration, the business sector, and their own industry.
→ Understand the rules and norms of written and oral interaction with partners and customers.
→ Acquire a thorough knowledge of Norwegian working and business life, and be better equipped to utilize their expertise and build networks.
Prerequisites
1. You must be resident in Norway for the entire duration of the course.
2a. Course B1: You need to have Norwegian language skills at a minimum level of A2.2 in writing and speaking.
2b. Course B1-B2: You need to have Norwegian language skills at a minimum level of B1.1 in writing and speaking.
3. You must not be entitled to free Norwegian courses through the Introduction Programme, or you must have used up your rights to free training via the introduction programme. Those who have previously participated in Norwegian language training through the Norwegian education scheme, for example, other IMDi courses, can apply again provided that they meet the applicable requirements.
4. You must have established your own company (ENK/AS) or do so during 2026.
If you are new to our courses, you need to make an appointment for mapping and assessment of your current language skills in order to create your Kurskollektivet Language Portfolio. The meeting is held online with your teachers.
