A1-A2 Beginner level English
Kurskollektivet’s Group Beginner English courses are for learners of all ages who have little experience with English, from children to adults.
Our group courses are formed of a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 8 participants. Those who apply to a group course will have a short preliminary meeting with one of our teachers, in order to assess their current language skills. Groups are activated when at least 6 participants on a similar level have been evaluated.
In class, we focus mainly on speaking, pronunciation and listening in order to help you improve your understanding and conversation skills from the very first lesson. Grammar is broken down into easy to learn chunks and is practised in context, through reading and writing together.
Outside of class, you will be given group assignments, where you can practice English with your classmates, and individual tasks you can work on from home, which are aimed at helping you consolidate your learning.
Alongside Kurskollektivet's self-produced learning materials, the courses will also make use of authentic materials such as short news articles, videos and audio clips, so that you get exposed to common, everyday English, as it is really used by native speakers. Our materials are flexible, and can be personalised to match your needs and interests.
